As Liverpool's leading dog training specialists, Unleashed K9 provides expert behaviour modification, obedience training, and specialist services across the city, helping dog owners achieve real, lasting results.
Liverpool dog owners make up a huge part of the Unleashed K9 client base, and for good reason. Our training ground at Brandreth House Farm sits on the East Lancashire Road in St Helens, which means if you're anywhere in Liverpool, you're one straight road away from us. From the city centre it's around 25 minutes. From West Derby, Croxteth, Norris Green or anywhere in east Liverpool, you can be with us in 15 to 20.
That short drive buys you something you cannot get in a busy park with a treat pouch: a purpose-built training environment where your dog can actually learn, away from the chaos, before we take that training back into the real world.
City life is hard work for a dog. The dogs that come to us from Liverpool tend to share the same struggles:
None of this makes your dog a bad dog. It makes it a dog that has been practising the wrong behaviours in an environment full of triggers. That is fixable, and fixing exactly this is what we do all day, every day.
Plenty of trainers will meet you in a park. The problem is that a park full of distractions is the worst possible classroom for a dog that is already struggling. At Brandreth House Farm we control the environment, the distance and the difficulty, so your dog learns the behaviour properly first. Then we proof it against the real world, step by step, until it holds up on Smithdown Road on a Saturday morning.
Every dog starts with an initial assessment. We meet you and your dog, get an honest picture of what's going on, and give you a clear, truthful plan. No packages you don't need, no promises we can't keep.
Training that only works at the training ground is not training, it's a party trick. Once foundations are in place, our work moves into real environments across Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area. Our monthly pack walks deliberately change location every time, exposing dogs to new environments, new distractions and new challenges while surrounded by calm, well-trained dogs.
That's how a Liverpool dog goes from unwalkable to walking calmly in heel past another dog on a narrow pavement: repetition, consistency and generalisation across the exact environments you actually live in.
We're at Brandreth House Farm, East Lancashire Road, St Helens, WA10 5QW. The A580 East Lancashire Road runs directly out of Liverpool, and the farm sits right on it. Follow the A580 towards Manchester and we're on your route, around 25 minutes from the city centre and quicker from the east of the city. From south Liverpool, the M62 to junction 7 works just as well.
Common questions from Liverpool dog owners

Around 25 minutes from the city centre via the A580 East Lancashire Road, and 15 to 20 minutes from east Liverpool areas like West Derby and Croxteth. The farm sits directly on the A580, so it is one straight road from most of the city.
Reactivity is one of the most common problems we see from Liverpool dogs, and it is Danny's specialist area. We start with a controlled environment at the farm, build the foundations properly, then proof the training against real Liverpool environments. Book an initial assessment and we will give you an honest plan.
Yes. Our puppy training builds the foundations that prevent the common Liverpool problems, lead pulling, poor recall and reactivity, before they ever take hold. Starting early is far easier than fixing established habits later.
Foundations are built at Brandreth House Farm in St Helens, where we control the environment and set your dog up to succeed. As training progresses we move into real-world environments, and our monthly pack walks change location every month across the region.
